Tripper Canoe Paddle

This traditionally shaped ottertail paddle is extremely smooth and quiet despite its substantial blade. Popular with solo and tandem canoeists, as well as day paddlers, the Tripper is a great all-round paddle for lake country.

Over the years, Badger has made subtle and slight modifications to the Tripper until arriving at the final shape they now use. It is Badger's most popular paddle because of its classic traditional looks, smooth and quiet fluidness, and a blade size that suits a wide range of paddlers. The blade retains its volume a little higher with a fine tip allowing for a smoother entry into the water, with plenty of volume once the full blade enters the water at the mid-point of your stroke.

Badger's signature hand-shaped transition ridge (between the shaft and blade) allows for a strong backbone that extends well into the paddle blade. It then tapers gradually into the blade allowing for an even flex towards the center. The ridge also creates a smooth water flow around the blade at the surface allowing for a smoother and more fluid stroke.
