Sliver Canoe Paddle

Long and slender, this modified ottertail variation of a thin blade paddle is an ideal all-around paddle for solo, style paddling, as well as tandem and solo expeditions. The Sliver is a great paddle for those who tend to use underwater recovery strokes.

The thin, slightly elongated blade does not load the shoulder as much as wider blades do; this helps to reduce fatigue, while still providing enough blade area to effectively propel the canoe.

The characteristic Badger hand-shaped transition ridge (between the shaft and blade) allows for a strong spine that extends well into the paddle blade. It then gradually tapers into the blade allowing for an even flex towards the center. The ridge also creates smooth water flow around the blade at the surface, allowing for a smoother, more fluid stroke.
